University of South Carolina Overview

The University of South Carolina features a historic campus dating back to 1805. The University enrolls more than 27,000 students in over 350 degree programs. Known for high-quality academics, the University of South Carolina has nationally ranked programs including the number one ranked undergraduate International Business program according to U.S. News and World Report. In addition, the University excels in research and was recently awarded a $1.3 million dollar grant from the National Science Foundation to study nanotechnology.

Swansea University currently has a University-wide agreement in place with the University of South Carolina.

Global Opportunities Bursary - £1000

This bursary is available for students spending a semester or a year studying abroad outside of Europe as part of their degree (except Texas).

The International Development Office provides students with a £1000 bursary, once students have submitted all the necessary paperwork.

Alternative funding through the Erasmus+ scheme will also be available for some opportunities in Texas, New Zealand and China for 2015/16 and 2016/17. Students will be contacted direct and the deadline for this is 31st March 2016.
