Mälardalen University Overview

Mälardalen University ( MDH) is one of Sweden’s large institutes of higher education. The University has over 14,000 students studying 52 programmes and 1,000 courses, and almost 900 faculty and staff. MDH is characterised by close partnerships with businesses and the public sector in the region, making our University attractive to students - and our students attractive on the labour market.
 
Mälardalen University is situated in the densely populated and expansive region around Lake Mälaren, about one hour by train from Stockholm and Uppsala. Mälardalen University conducts education that leads to employment and invests in research which generates beneficial solutions for societal development. Mälardalen University, with its campuses in Eskilstuna and Västerås, is a central driving force in the region.

Swansea University currently has agreements in place with Mälardalen University for the College of Human and Health Sciences and the department of Nursing.

Erasmus+ Grant - 300 - 450€ approx

The Erasmus+ Grant is dependent on location, and varies in each country. It is available for students who decide to spend up to a year of their course in Europe in 2018-19 through the Erasmus+ programme. Students can receive grants of up to 350 euros per month for study, or up to 450 euros per month for student traineeships, depending on the country they go to. This grant is a contribution to the extra costs of studying abroad, which is why it varies by country.
