Universitat Pompeu Fabra Overview

Universitat Pompeu Fabra is a modern, high-quality public university that was founded in 1990. It focuses on the knowledge areas of the social sciences and humanities, communication and information technologies, and health and life sciences.

It has 11,000 enrolled students in: 23 undergraduate studies, 26 Masters (EHEA) and 9 PhD programmes UPF welcomes more than 1,400 international mobility students per year, and 30% of their undergraduate students have done an exchange abroad. 
UPF ranks in the Times Higher Education ranking 2014 as the 1st Spanish university (165th worldwide and 75th in Europe) and 13th highest ranked (worldwide) among those under 50 years of age.

Swansea University currently has agreements in place with Universitat Pompeu Fabra for the College of Arts and Humanities and the department of Translation.

Erasmus+ Grant - Approx €300 per month

This bursary amount is dependent on location, and can vary. It is available for UK students who decide to spend up to a year of their course in Europe in 2015-16 through the Erasmus+ programme. Students can receive grants of up to 300 euro per month for study, or up to 400 euro per month for student traineeships, depending on the country they go to. This grant is a contribution to the extra costs of studying abroad, which is why it varies by country.
