Success through Sustainable Partnerships

The creation of sustainable and mutually beneficial collaborations with key international partners is a central part of the University's strategy, underpinning all activities.  This includes developing focused bilateral and multilateral institutional links, global research networks and transnational educational initiatives.

Collaborative research, staff and student exchange and teaching partnerships with leading global universities have long been a key part of Swansea’s approach, and through these it is able to offer opportunities such as student mobility, prestigious Erasmus Mundus programmes and joint PhD programmes.

The University also runs joint programmes which allow students to undertake study abroad in conjunction with one or more partner institutions. This includes prestigious Erasmus Mundus programmes in both Journalism and Computational Mechanics which allow students to study in three different European countries, as well as a number of joint PhDs with partners in France and Texas.

Santander Partnership

Scholarships, travel bursaries, enterprise prizes and internships are among the benefits that Swansea receives as part of its partnership with Santander, through Santander Universities Global Division.

The agreement focuses on international exchange, entrepreneurial activities and the mobility of students and researchers within universities that already partner with Santander. The partnership will also enable Swansea to develop and strengthen collaborative links internationally as well as create new opportunities for staff and students.
