Our team of Student Ambassadors can deliver Student Life presentations and Question and Answer sessions at your school or college, or on campus if you choose to visit us. These sessions can be tailored to fit in with your requirements. Please contact us if you would like more information.
Reaching Wider is based on campus in Student Services and offers a range of activities which are delivered to those living in Communities First areas, including Looked After Children and Care Leavers. As part of their on-going work, Reaching Wider recruits student ambassadors from Swansea University to work on various programmes, including their mentoring scheme with local secondary schools throughout Swansea and Port Talbot. The mentoring scheme involves students working closely with Year 7 to 11 pupils in classes and small groups in order to raise motivation, aspiration and educational achievements. Reaching Wider also recruits mentors to work on its other schemes, including the Year 12 Summer School – a free, four-week residential course; Aiming for College Education (ACE) days on campus for Year 9 students, and other workshops that run throughout the year, both on site and in local schools.
