Kenneth Kodjo Dzah, Ghana
Staff Nurse, Kenneth Kodjo Dzah from Ghana studied the MSc Chronic Conditions Management after it was recommended to him by a colleague.
Kenneth said: "I studied Chronic conditions management, which involves sociological and psychological aspect of the patient condition. It involves assessment of patient’s nutritional status and also helping patient’s to self-manage their conditions.
"I found Health Promotion very interesting and I enjoyed studying sociology and psychology modules too. The diabetes module was a big challenge, I did not think I was going to make it when I realized most of my course mates were Medical doctors and diabetic specialists. The fear that gripped me made me work harder and I enjoyed it very much in the end."
When asked if he would recommend Swansea University to other students, Kenneth said: "Definitely. It is friendly, multicultural and is a great university to study in. The standard and quality of education is very high. I am very delighted I studied in Swansea University and I am a proud Alumni."
Kenneth recently graduated from Swansea University. He now hopes to put the knowledge and experienced gained while on the programme into practice and help people with chronic conditions.
