Level 5 and Level 6 Modules
The following modules in this section are available at both level 5 and level 6. Students will need to identify their chosen level of study at application.
Level 5 and Level 6 Modules:
- Key Issues in Child and Adolescent Mental Health
- Mentor and Assessor Preparation
- Safeguarding the Welfare of Children and Young People
- Teaching in Clinical Practice
- Tissue Viability
- Working with Individuals who have Dementia and their Carers
- Introduction to Clinical Leadership
- Public Health and Health Promotion
Level Five: To study at level five, students need to have 120 credits at level four.
Please note: If you are ready to study at level two, and have not studied in recent years, (i.e. 5 years) we advise you to undertake a study skills programme first.*
Level Six: To study at level six students need to have 120 level five credits, which must include the research and critical appraisal module, or an accepted equivalent.
Please note: If you have completed courses outside Swansea University and wish to check whether they can be credit transferred, please contact the relevant programme manager.
*We don’t offer any study skills courses but recommend you contact your local Further Education College, who will usually offer appropriate courses.
Applicants employed by Hywel Dda Health Board or Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board, who wish to receive financial assistance and/or study leave to attend courses, are advised to contact their managers before applying.
