Level 5 and Level 6 Modules

The following modules in this section are available at both level 5 and level 6. Students will need to identify their chosen level of study at application.

Level 5 and Level 6 Modules:

Level Five: To study at level five, students need to have 120 credits at level four.
Please note: If you are ready to study at level two, and have not studied in recent years, (i.e. 5 years) we advise you to undertake a study skills programme first.*

Level Six: To study at level six students need to have 120 level five credits, which must include the research and critical appraisal module, or an accepted equivalent.
Please note: If you have completed courses outside Swansea University and wish to check whether they can be credit transferred, please contact the relevant programme manager.

*We don’t offer any study skills courses but recommend you contact your local Further Education College, who will usually offer appropriate courses.

Applicants employed by Hywel Dda Health Board or Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board, who wish to receive financial assistance and/or study leave to attend courses, are advised to contact their managers before applying.

For further information and application forms please contact our Admissions Office on:

If you don’t have a professional qualification and are not sure if you have the necessary credit points to study your chosen module, please email Mr Gareth Davies, Academic Services Officer on chhsadmissions@swansea.ac.uk to check your status.

Overseas Academic Qualifications

Applicants applying for all programmes will need to submit copies of their certificates and transcripts from their awarding country and University so that UK comparability can be established. This will allow us to advise overseas and international students what level of study would be appropriate. These should be submitted to our admissions department at time of application.
