There is a vibrant postgraduate research community, with regular social and academic events organised by the Postgraduate History Society. Workshops for postgraduate historians are held at the university and at the University of Wales conference centre at Gregynog, and students are encouraged to attend relevant conferences and training workshops at other institutions, such as the Institute of Historical Research in London. The School of Arts & Humanities has its own postgraduate suite that provides computing facilities and a meeting place for researchers.
