Welsh-medium provision for students

Studying Geography through the medium of Welsh

While studying Geography at University, you will be given the opportunity to learn about our world's current affairs from experts in their field. You will follow modules which deal with current affairs such as globalisation and current social relations, sustainability, world processes, and human responses to natural risk. In addition to traditional lectures, you will also learn by taking part in detailed discussions in small groups, gain transferable skills by undertaking group work and presentations, and nurture your ability to work independently by planning your own research project. You will also be given the opportunity to practice your skills directly by going on work experience and attending field trips to places of interest, for example New York, the Gower Peninsula or Vancouver.

Whilst taking advantage of all these opportunities, and doing so in Welsh, you will build an infrastructure of employability skills which will be invaluable in whatever career you choose in the future.
