We welcome applications and enquiries from people regardless of age, ethnic or national origin, race, religion, gender, sexual preference, marital status, family responsibility, physical or sensory disability, and political or religious beliefs and activities unless those activities are unlawful or contrary to the policies of the University.

Applications should be made through UCAS (the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service).

Our typical preferred offer is ABB from 3 A levels or equivalent (eg 2 A levels and 2 AS levels). We normally expect one of the A levels to be in an appropriate subject. Appropriate subjects include:

• for all degree schemes: Geography;
• for Physical Geography and Physical Earth Science: Geography or Geology or Environmental Science or another Science subject;
• for Human Geography: Geography or Sociology or World Development;
• for Geo-Informatics: any Science subject.

General Studies and Key Skills can not be included in the offer. We recognise the Welsh Baccalaureate and welcome applicants from routes other than A level, such as the International Baccalaureate.

We welcome applications in the current round from applicants who plan to take a gap year and defer their entry.

We will normally make you an offer via UCAS soon after receiving your application. We will also write to you, inviting you to a Visit Day. Visit Days give you the opportunity to find out more about what it's like to study Geography at university, and about the specific degree scheme you have applied for. You'll also have the opportunity to meet and talk to members of academic staff. We strongly encourage all applicants to visit the university.
