Swansea is one of the UK’s leading centres for materials teaching and research.

As Sports Science is now an integral part of the College of Engineering at Swansea University, alongside the Materials Research Centre, we are extremely well-placed to encompass the growing area of sports-related materials technology.

Technology in sports and leisure application is increasing continually with sustained interest and economic activity in the area. The demand for graduates with the technical expertise in engineering materials coupled with knowledge of sports science and sports industry is growing.

In addition, with many of the modules being shared with other Materials Science and Engineering degree schemes, overall employment prospects in the vast majority of materials related sector is enhanced.
