On behalf of the organising committee of the 23rd Conference of the Association of Computational Mechanics in Engineering (ACME-UK 2015), we are delighted to invite you to participate in this important scientific event.
ACME-UK 2015 will be the ideal forum for the fostering of ideas and the establishing of new collaborative research links, helping to build strong research networks within UK and at an international level. The conference will also give you the unique opportunity to visit Swansea, one of the most vibrant cities in Wales and, crucially, to get to know the place where the history of the finite element method began more than 50 years ago.
The conference participants will also enjoy four Keynote Lectures delivered by some of the greatest scientists in the field worldwide, namely Prof. J. Peraire (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Prof. R. Löhner (George Mason University), Prof. L. Formaggia (Politecnico di Milano) and Prof. J. Schröder (Universität Duisburg Essen).
Previous editions of this Conference took place in Exeter (2014), Durham (2013), Manchester (2012), Heriot-Watt (2011), Southampton (2010), Nottingham (2009), Newcastle (2008), Glasgow (2007), Belfast (2006), Sheffield (2005), Cardiff (2004), Strathclyde (2003) and Swansea (2002). This year, ACME-UK returns to Swansea University, where it took place for the first time in 1993, and it promises to be an even more successful event.
We look forward to welcoming you in Swansea on 8–10 April, 2015!
