Working with Industry
The staff of the discipline have always had a good relationship with industrial organizations which are the destination of our medical engineering graduates. The industrial inputs range from site visits to seminars delivered by clinical contacts.We also have an industrial advisory board that ensures that our course maintains relevance. The panel consists of industrialists and clinicians with a range of medical and environmental backgrounds. The individuals are regularly invited to participate in departmental activities and there is at least one meeting a year when the advisory board are invited to discuss the discipline. The panel’s discussion is used to guide the yearly review of the Medical Engineering discipline.
