“I decided to study Engineering at Swansea University after I read up on the impressive graduate employability percentages and the ranking of the College of Engineering online. I really liked what I found.

I love the beaches and the friendly people here in Swansea who have made my university life interesting so far. My favourite memories are hanging out at the beach on the Bay Campus with my coursemates, just taking pictures and bathing in sunset light. Outside of my course, I joined the volleyball society.

In the future I would like to work for a Fortune 500 medical devices company. I'm very interested in contributing to the field of oncology and to be part of a team to improve cancer treatments.”

“One of the main reasons I decided to study Engineering at Swansea University was due to the research areas that are available for my field of study. Materials engineering research groups in the University explore the structure and properties of novel materials ranging from advanced aerospace alloys to photovoltaic solar cells.

The strong industrial collaboration and partnerships between the University and engineering companies also convinced me to study at this University. I believe it will help to build a solid foundation and extensive professional network for my future career.

The newly constructed Bay Campus with all its brand new scientific kit was also a huge factor in my decision.

Some of my favourite memories of the course are the lab practical sessions. I also enjoy meeting my lecturers and asking them questions about lessons that were covered during lectures. They are very helpful and also like to share their research work, which greatly encourages me to do postgraduate studies. “

“During the course of my BEng Chemical Engineering at Swansea University, the lecturers impressed me the most. They were very professional and experienced. Not only were they friendly, they share their industrial experience and knowledge with us.

Swansea is a very cosy place to be in. The people here are very friendly especially when I go to the market to buy my groceries.

Upon graduation, I plan to be a Process Engineer working in the food industry or detergent industry.”

“Swansea University is home to great names, such as the late Professor O. C. Zienkiewicz, whose contributions to the nowadays-engineering world has been prominent. In addition, world-leading engineering companies and organizations such as Airbus, Rolls Royce and TATA have a great interest on research outputs produced by Swansea University.

Swansea University is located nearby breath-taking beaches. Unlike big crowded cities, Swansea City offers a relaxing place while studying. The other nearby places are simply captivating and great for walking, cycling or hiking.”
