What Sports facilities are available?

The main sports facilities for all Swansea University students and staff are those at the Sketty Lane site, adjacent to the Singleton Park Campus.

The University’s Sketty Lane Sports Village houses numerous sports facilities, including 50m and 25m swimming pools, playing fields, indoor and outdoor athletics facilities, multi-purpose Uni-gym, fitness studios, squash and tennis courts.

The Bay Campus provides some recreational sports facilities but these are not intended to replace or replicate the facilities at Sketty Lane. The Sports Hall at the Bay Campus has a fully equipped gym with state-of-the-art cardio and resistance equipment. In 2016, two 3G astro turf pitches, a basketball court and a beach volleyball court will open.

The College of Engineering will continue to ensure that Wednesday afternoons are kept completely free in the teaching timetable for all students allowing full participation with the University Sports Teams as team practice and matches typically take place on a Wednesday.
