External Collaboration
Here in the School of Engineering we pride ourselves on the extensive collaborative activities that we undertake with local, national and international organisations to the benefit of both our students and staff. These activities include:
- Government and industrially-funded research and development projects
- Undergraduate and postgraduate project work, industrial speakers and site visits
- Sandwich year and summer placements
- Industrial Liaison Committees
- Consultancy
The School has an international reputation in many areas of research and development, in particular computational modelling and simulation, and we play a vital role in wealth-creation through the transfer of our advanced technological knowledge and expertise to a diverse range of industries.
Knowledge transfer is increasingly seen as a core activity. The University has a clear vision of enhanced collaborative activities and partnerships, resulting from the establishment of a second campus, which will act as an important catalyst for knowledge transfer and promote the knowledge economy of Wales and beyond.
