Swansea Employability Academy supports and develops Employability, Entrepreneurship and Employee learning across the University.
We have four main strategies which will support our graduates in attaining graduate level employment:
- Review, with the support of employers, the structure and content of curricula to ensure that our diverse range of students develop the essential graduate attributes which make them employable.
- Develop entrepreneurial skills in all our graduates – a skill set which meets the requirements of SMEs and larger employers alike – and may result in the development of new enterprises in the region.
- Enhance the provision of careers and employability advice and guidance so that graduates have the skills necessary for seeking employment and can articulate their attributes in job applications and interviews.
- Challenge our students and take them out of their comfort zone, to develop a ‘can do’ attitude and to raise aspirations to find graduate level employment – which will entail developing a global perspective and may mean increasing mobility.
