Volunteering and Work Placement at the Egypt Centre, Swansea
Being a part of the diverse team at the Egypt Centre is a satisfying and rewarding process. You can meet new friends, learn new skills, get on a heritage career path, and have the satisfaction of helping run Wales' only Egyptian museum. There are two ways to get involved, you can volunteer or come on a work placement.
Volunteering is a commitment made for free, to the museum, regularly over a sustained period of time. Most people volunteer from between 3-17 hours per month. You can volunteer between Tues-Sat 10-4. All ages (10-99 years) are welcome.
Work placement is an unpaid full time intense work program designed to give you an idea of what it is like to practically work in a museum in a front of house capacity. The placements last for 1 week up to 1 year. The work placements are open to people aged 14-99.
What ever way you decide to become involved, you will be joining an ever expanding team of dedicated volunteers who love working at our museum. We hope you will too!
