The Department of Adult Continuing Education has a proud tradition of teaching, learning and research in adult education and lifelong learning.  Research is primarily conducted in:

• Lifelong learning;
• Widening access;
• Community regeneration, community development and community education;
• New technologies and lifelong learning;
• University adult education;
• Adult education and equal opportunities.

DACE covers a variety of study levels and fields of study and, therefore, members of staff have different research emphases.  Details of research currently conducted at DACE can be found in the Staff Research Interests section.
