The BA Degree Preparation (Prep) Programme starts in January and in April 2018 and is delivered for 11 weeks on a part-time basis. It is designed for adult students who are new to learning and provides the opportunity to work towards a qualification and learn more about a subject area in a supportive environment.

The Prep Programme is taught during the day, evening and weekend  at community venues throughout Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot as well as at the Singleton Campus and the South Wales Miners' Library.‌

 Students choose 2 subjects from a list that includes American History, Sociology, English Literature, Creative Writing, Psychology, Welsh History, Playwriting,  British History, Child Psychology, Criminal Psychology, Ancient History, Academic Writing and IT Skills and  Science, Spirituality and Health.

The Prep Programme is a fully supportive programme underpinned by extensive study skills. Careers and educational advice and guidance is available to all prospective students.

 The programme is FREE to eligible students.

After successfully completing the Prep Programme, many students can progress to the Part-time BA (Honours) Humanities, English or History Degree which starts in September 2018.
