EPSRC - Research Council Follow-on Fund
The Follow-on Fund helps researchers to bridge the funding gap between traditional research grants and commercial funding by supporting the very early stage of turning research outputs into a commercial proposition.

ESRC - ESRC Professorial Fellowship Scheme 2008-09 Competition
The ESRC invites applications under the seventh round of the Professorial Fellowship Scheme. The scheme is designed to support leading social scientists working in the UK, by providing them with the freedom to pursue their own innovative and creative research agendas.

BBSRC - Collaborative scheme for systematics research
The Collaborative Scheme for Systematics Research (CoSyst) provides short-term funding for new collaborative research in systematics.

NERC - Ecology and Hydrology Funding Initiative
The objective of EHFI is to promote wider engagement of researchers at UK universities and academic analogues with the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (CEH), in order to strategically contribute to both the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) Strategy and the CEH Science Strategy.

AHRC - Small Research Grants - Beyond Text
The Small Research Grants in Beyond Text will support projects from less established as well as established senior scholars, and from those wishing to undertake small scale innovative or short projects of up to 18 months. The project can be for between £20,000 and £150,000 fEC.
