Gail P Mooney – Academic Lead

Gail started her career as a nurse qualifying in 1979 and spent 23 years in the critical care setting before moving into education. Gail has a wide range of quality assurance and enhancement experience both within the College and the University and a significant experience of developing, delivering and managing work-based learning.

Dai Warren – Deputy Academic Lead

Dr David Warren received his Engineering Doctorate in Materials Engineering from Swansea University in 2010 and subsequently went on to work for several years in the steel industry, assuming a number of technical roles including process specialist for a number of high volume manufacturing lines.  David returned to academia to project manage the Materials Education Training and Learning (METaL) project which has delivered CPD training in engineering subjects to over 500 individuals.  At present he is the project manager of the multi-million pound M2A project which is providing masters and doctorial level training over 200 individuals to enable them to become the next industrial leaders.

Bernadette has worked in university administration for over 20 years.  She has a wide range of experience in regulation and governance, quality assurance and student issues.

Chris has worked at the University for 6 years and has a wide range of experience in Work-Based Learning and foundation degree initiatives, work placements, quality assurance and assessment, the establishment of collaborations with external partners and financial management.

Faye Chapman – Engagement Support Officer

Faye has worked within education for over 5 years with experience in Further Education and Work-Based Learning. Previously training apprentices within the IT sector, Faye has also undertaken the digital marketing for businesses and used these skills to network, build relationships, and engage employers.
