- Wales RIVIC Visual Computing Graduate School: A four-day meeting, bringing distinguished international scientists in computer graphics, computer vision, image processing, visualization, and other areas of visual computing together to share their expertise, knowledge, wisdom, and vision with young researchers (e.g. PhD students and PostDocs). (6–9 Apr 2010)
- Women Shaping the Future of Wales. Now in its 9th year, the event celebrates International Women's Day. It provides an insight into the diverse range of business and career opportunities for women in the 21st Century and offers a platform for sharing experiences, knowledge and best practice for women working with science and technology. - Prof Harold Thimbleby gave a talk on Avoiding Death by Computer in the Swansea Science Café. (24 Feb 2010)
- Prof Robin Milner gave a series of talks at our department, starting with a colloquium on The Space and Motion of Large Informatic Systems, and continuing with lectures on Bigraphs: a Model for Mobile Agents. (5–9 Nov 2009)
- AVOCS '09: Ninth International Workshop on Automated Verification of Critical Systems (23–25 Sep 2009)
- British Science Festival 2009: Members of the department presented work on the EPSRC-funded StoryBank project throughout the Festival. The exhibit was also funded by the EPSRC and our collaborator from India joined the team to explain how the work can impact rural communities. (5–10 Sep 2009)

- Computer Science in Action: Collaborative Project Fair. Final year computing students will showcase their project work on a range of topics, by means of display posters and live demonstrations. From software development to computer graphics, and communication technologies to future interactive interfaces, this event provides a unique opportunity to see some of the innovative research projects produced by Swansea University Computer Science students.
