The Centre for Migration Policy Research brings together a wealth of world-class scholarship and expertise.
The Centre’s Director, Prof Heaven Crawley, is widely recognised as a leading authority on UK asylum policy and practice. She led the Home Office’s asylum research programme and was an Associate Director at the Institute for Public Policy Research prior to her arrival at Swansea in 2006. Dr Nicola Piper arrived from the University of Singapore in May 2007 and is the Centre’s Associate Director.
The Centre has Research Associates drawn from across the University including specialists in anthropology, development studies, economics, education, geography, international relations, law, politics and social policy. Information about the Centre's research Associates can be found here
