Swansea University Work Placement Programmes

Week of Work

WOW logo 300x177‌Our 5 day, unpaid 'Week of Work' programme offers students a taster of a wide range of businesses and gives employers an opportunity to bring students’ dynamic talent to the business for shorter projects.

The Week of Work programme runs during January and the summer vacation period (although placements can occur part-time during term).

Student employability bootcamps are available to ensure that both the business and the student get the most out of the internship.

Swansea Paid Internship Network

SPIN Logo 300x177Through our Paid Internship Network we seek to connect employers to students for 4 week graduate level placements.

Students are paid at minimum wage for a 21 year old by their employer, and employers are able to claim £469 (half the salary) back from the university.

The SPIN programme runs on a full-time basis during the summer vacation period (although placements can occur on a part-time basis during term).

Student employability bootcamps are available to ensure that both the business and the student get the most out of the internship.
