Haydale Graphene Industries plc, develops a patent with Swansea University

Haydale Graphene Industries plc, the AIM Company focused on enabling technology for the commercialisation of graphene, has developed a patent-pending proprietary scalable plasma process to functionalise graphene and other nanomaterials.

Graphene is a single carbon lattice layer and has outstanding thermal, mechanical and electrical properties. It has potential applications in significant markets such as battery and energy storage, electronic devices including bio-medical sensors, conductive inks and films plus polymer composite fillers and resins.

Haydale announced a collaboration agreement with Swansea University’s printing and coatings research unit.

After the announcement, broker Cantor repeated its 'buy' recommendation on the shares and target price of 160p a share.

"We continue to view Haydale as having a unique and under recognised proposition in the commercialisation of graphene generally," said analyst Andy Chambers.

Haydale shares rose 1.21% to 125p each on Monday.
