Swansea University at BioWales 1st & 2nd March 2016

BioWales is the flagship event for the life sciences sector in Wales, and one of the UK’s leading life science conferences. Now in its 14th year, the event is returning to the Wales Millennium Centre on 1-2 March 2016. 

The theme of this year’s event is Connect and Collaborate, reflecting the unique platform that the conference provides for attendees to develop international connections and partnering opportunities. 

BioWales 2016 builds on Wales’ collaborative strength, bringing together industry experts, life science investors and international networks, focussing on the interaction between business, academia and healthcare.

The programme spans the six local authority areas of Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Bridgend, Neath Port Talbot and Swansea.

British Science Festival 2016

Swansea University are very excited to be hosting the British Science Festival 2016, from 6 – 9 September. The four-day event is one of Europe’s leading and longest-established science festivals.

The British Science Festival 2016 will focus on an audience of non-specialist adults with a broad interest in science, delivering 100 events, specially curated by the BSA in partnership with Swansea University. World-leading academics from Swansea University and other institutions and organisations across the UK will present, discuss and debate cutting-edge science (across the scientific spectrum including technology, engineering and social sciences) at a range of different events, from talks to performances

COLLABORATE 2016

Collaborate 2016 is back and building on the success of last year’s event. The day is again dedicated to celebrating and promoting collaborative projects and partnerships across industry, academia, Government, health boards and other organisations.

Bringing together over 300 representatives from across the region and beyond, the event is hosted by the Swansea University Medical School’s Enterprise and Innovation Team, AHSC, ABM and Hywel Dda University Health Boards.
