Graduated from Swansea University in July 2013 with a First Class Honors in BSc Marine Biology and went on to undertake an MSc by Research in Animal Movement Science. My research concentrates on the foraging behaviour of diving, marine mammals with a focus on describing their range of behaviours and the energetic costs of their activities. For my masters’ thesis I am analysing a vast data set (comprised of diving and GPS data) from Harbour Seals (Phoca vitulina) in the Wadden Sea, Germany. I hope to increase our understanding of their movements and describe their behaviours using novel, logical techniques.
