Responsible for many of the sporting activities at the University, the Athletic Union works to develop both competitive and non-competitive sport and to facilitate the development and achievement of its clubs.

The AU office is situated on the second floor of Union House. It is staffed by Siwan Lillicrap, the student elected President for the 2009/10 academic year, along with Richard Lancaster, the permanent general manager, and the Athletic Union executive committee.

The AU caters for the wide range of clubs which vary from the mainstream sports like rugby, football and netball, to water sports like sailing and sub aqua, and to martial arts like judo and tae kwon do. We have great facilities that allow indoor and outdoor sports, mens, womens and mixed team sports, as well as individual sports. There is a club in the AU for everybody.

Membership of the Athletic Union is essential to ensure you get the most out of your time at Swansea. The diversity of activities and participants is vast yet all have the same goal, to enjoy themselves and have a great time.

AU SPORTSNIGHT IN PLAY 

The AU Sports Night for the year will again be in Play nightclub, at the bottom of Wind Street. The club has been proven to be the best night out throughout the year - with many new and exciting ideas being put into the night, held every Wednesday. Get ready for this year's installments of the hottest student night of the week!

AU KIT RANGE CONTINUED

The AU is pleased to be continuing the range of Kukri t-shirts, polo-shirts, tracksuits, hoodies, thermal tops and smocks. These are ideal for training, fantastic quality and a good price for top kit. All stock will be sold in the Level2 Shop in the Union Building.
