What is Tilt ?
The project provides FUNDED Training in Languages and Translation.
TILT’s aim is to make Welsh business better able to compete in the global market and get the best out of opportunities in Europe and beyond.
TILT is able to offer fully-funded places on its short, University-accredited courses.
The project at Swansea University is a joint project between Canolfan Bedwyr’s Language Technologies Unit (LTU), the School of Modern Languages, and Welsh for Adults, at Bangor University.
The LTU leads and coordinates the project, with special responsibility to develop distance learning and e-learning for the project. The School of Modern Languages is responsible for all modern language courses, apart from those for Welsh, which are the responsibility of Welsh for Adults. The School of Modern Languages is also responsible for the translation courses which are part of their MA in Translation Studies.
If you work in the private sector and live and/or work in the Convergence Region of Wales you may be eligible to access a funded place on a TILT course.
This project is part of the Work Based Learning Programme, funded by the EU’s Convergence European Social Fund, through the Welsh Government.
