Studying abroad represents an excellent opportunity to broaden your horizon. You meet people from different cultures, obtain a new perspective on your subject and gain experience and skills that are valued by employers. Employers are increasingly looking for people with experience of living abroad, cultural awareness and knowledge of another language.
Students who study American Studies, Ancient History and Classical Civilisation, English Language and Literature, History, Modern Languages and Translation and Interpreting have the option of a year abroad as part of a four year programme. They spend the third year studying in in Europe (the country of study for Modern Languages, Translation and Interpreting) and the USA.
All of our students have the option of an exchange study abroad in the second semester of the second year of study. This is a great opportunity to experience a few months abroad and the costs are low as you are part of a swap system. We currently have exchange programmes in Hong Kong, the USA and Europe.
Summer programmes are also available in Asia, Australia, Africa, Europe and North America.
