Politics, International Relations and PPE academic staff are actively involved in two research centres, the Centre for the Study of Culture and Politics (C-SCAP) which is dedicated to the exploration of the complex and dynamic relations between peoples, cultures, institutions, practices, states and economies and the Callaghan Centre for the Study of Conflict which is an interdisciplinary research centre whose objective is to facilitate, co-ordinate and financially support the study of conflict.  The Centres promote research through collaborative work, research seminars, informal reading groups, conferences, publications and also inform and enhance our teaching.

Student members of Politics and International Relations and PPE organise academic and social events such as research symposiums, political debates and Student Balls. Undergraduate students also have the unique opportunity to study an internship module with the Welsh Assembly Govenment.
