EXCHANGE UNIVERSITIES

University is not just about lectures and libraries! It is about exiting new experiences and making the most of new opportunities, which is why our Single and Joint Honours four year degree students spend a compulsory year at an American University.

This year is quite often "the most exciting time of your live"; through travel and making new friends it expands horizons and builds confidence, qualities much valued by potential employers. Our final destination statistics for careers are amongst the best in the country; quite simply an American Studies degree and the experience of the year abroad makes you stand out from the crowd.

American Studies has exchange agreements with the US Universities listed below. Click on the links on the right to go directly to US university homepages or click on the links on the left to view Fact Sheets. Information is also available in the Exchange Office library, which holds catalogues, housing brochures, general publicity and tourist literature. Students are encouraged to attend the US study abroad fair in November.
