Local Buses

Bus numbers 2A, 2B, 3A, 14A, 43, 82 and 82A serve the university from the city centre Quadrant bus station– leaving from Bays 1, 2 and 3. 
Buses 2A and 2B link the University to Mumbles, the 82 and 82A link the University to Hendrefoilan Student Village and the number 43 links the University on the Swansea circular route to Townhill, Penlan and up to Morriston Hospital.  The 14A links the University to Mayals and the South Gower- Bishopston and Pennard.

Bus Stop Texting - Traveline TXT

Bus stop shelters and posts across South Wales now have unique seven letter codes marked with green stickers – for example SWAMWPG.  Simply text the code of the bus stop you are standing at to 84268 and within 30 seconds you will receive a free text to your phone listing the next 4 buses due at that stop, as well as information on their destinations.  If your local stop is not yet marked, you can find the code on www.traveline-cymru.org.uk.

Student Bus Passes

Student bus passes can be purchased from the University Travel Shop or from the Quadrant bus station information office.
First has a network of “Bob” the Bright Orange Bus services tailored for students at Swansea University. Value-for-money deals include a First1term ticket for £108* and a First3term ticket for £275. Both these tickets give unlimited travel for the specified time period on “Bob” and other First local bus services in Swansea and Neath.
