Online

You can make a donation to Swansea University online

If you would like to make a regular donation please complete our Donation Form ‌and return it to the Development and Alumni Relations Office.

MyDonate is a not-for-profit, online fundraising service for UK charities.  This service provides a secure, easy-to-use way for millions of people to raise money for the charity of their choice.

If you would like to make a regular donation by Direct Debit, please complete the Donation Form Donation Form and return it to the Development and Alumni Relations Office.

You can also make a donation by cheque – all cheques should be made payable to Swansea University and returned with a completed donation form.

Make sure you tick the Gift Aid declaration to add up to 25% to the total of your donation!

Legacy giving

Including Swansea University in your Will is simple and will cost you nothing today, but will have an enduring impact on students and academics alike in the years to come. This relatively simple yet extremely generous act provides an opportunity for you to remain involved with Swansea beyond your lifetime and is an enduring example of your commitment to the institution, its students and its vision for the future.

Share Giving

Donating your qualifying shares to a charity means you can claim Income Tax relief and lower your tax bill, as well as getting Capital Gains Tax relief.

Give As You Earn (GAYE)

You can make a donation to Swansea University direct from your salary, tax free. The donation is deducted from your pay before it is taxed under PAYE, and you get relief at your highest rate of tax. The gift does not reduce earnings for National Insurance contributions purposes.

Check with your employer to see if they offer this facility.

Overseas giving

United States of America: To make a gift and take a U.S. income tax deduction, you may make a donation to the British Schools & Universities Foundation (Federal I.D. Number 13-616-1189), a charitable organization approved by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c)(3) of their Code. You should express "a preference for Swansea University " in your transmittal letter, not on your check which is to be drawn to the order of the British Schools & Universities Foundation. Such preferences are respected by the Foundation but all grants are made at its sole discretion, as required by the I.R.S.

Canada:   The most straightforward way of making a gift to Swansea University from Canada is by visiting our online donations page. Alternatively, you can download and fill in a hard copy donation form, allowing you to make a gift using a cheque, credit or debit card. Hard copies can be returned by post to the Development and Alumni Relations Office, Swansea University, Singleton Abbey, Singleton Park, Swansea, SA2 8PP.
