    Swansea University invites you to attend our events specifically designed for Heads of sixth form, Careers staff, School/College UCAS Correspondents and all staff with input into Higher Education programmes. 

    Whether you're an experienced UCAS Advisor or just starting out we're sure you'll find our events informative and practical.  Both conferences will include an update session on student finance giving delegates the opportunity to share their experience of the impact of the new UK Tuition Fee regimes.            

    We're pleased to be able to offer both events free of charge and lunch and refreshments will be provided; however, places are limited so booking is strongly advised.

    "Are your students getting the university offers they merit? - A guide to organising  the UCAS application process in your school/college"

    A practice-orientated half day workshop aimed at school/college staff new to organising or assisting with HE programmes and the UCAS application process within their institution, and more experienced staff seeking fresh inspiration and ideas.

    Presenters include both experienced school/college UCAS co-ordinator staff, who can offer informed advice based on practice, and university admissions/recruitment staff who can offer helpful insights from the higher education institution viewpoint.

    Speakers include:
    Mary Curnock-Cook
    (UCAS Chief Executive) on finding a path through the newly emerging admissions landscape.
    Niall Bradley (Director of UK/EU Recruitment, University of Edinburgh) on strategies to ensure successful transition to university.      
    Dr. Harriet Jones (Lecturer & Education Researcher, University of East Anglia) on practical teaching methods to assist student transition to university. 

    Delegates will also have the opportunity to visit a department /facility of choice on the day.
