PART CATERED INFORMATION / FLEXIBLE DINERS CARD

Cafe WestIf you are living in self-catering accommodation or in one of the private sector locations, you are able to take advantage of the Flexible Diners Card.  Your Flexible Diners Card provides a simple, no fuss way of paying for your meal, without having to carry cash. PART-CATERED RESIDENCE

For students staying in Kilvey and Rhossili your residences diners card provides you with an opportunity to make the most of the part-catered accommodation option.  Not only is your diners card credited with diners points at the start of each term but you can also receive a further 10% discount on meals purchased in any of our catering outlets.

  • How do I get my diners card?
    If you are in part-catered accommodation your diners card will be ready for collection from the catering department office in Fulton House at the start of the academic year.  All you need to do is present yourself at the catering office any time from 9.30am to 2.00pm Monday to Friday with suitable ID and we will issue you with your card
  • How do I use my diners card?
    Your card provides a simple, no fuss way of paying for your meals.  At the start of each term your diners card will be credited with your diners points.  You can use your card in any of the catering outlets, the opening times will be published at the start of the academic year.  All you need to do is present your diners card each time you make a purchase. 
  • What meals can I get and where?
    The University operates a range of outlets around campus.  Each has a distinctive image and style of food varying from light lunches, such as baked potatoes with tempting fillings to traditional British fare, Indian, Mexican and Chinese meals, baguettes, pasta dishes and many more.  All our outlets have a choice of vegetarian dishes — we are member of the Vegetarian Society’s Food and Drink Guild.
  • What if I run out of diners points?
    You can top up your card in the Catering Office in Fulton House with cash, the minimum amount is £5.00.
  • What happens to any diners points left at the end of term?
    Any diners points expire on the last day of the term.  These diners points do not roll over to the next term.
  • What if I leave in the middle of term?
    Your card will be cancelled and a calculation made on any outstanding balance.  If you have a negative balance you may be required to pay money to the University.
  • Any catches?
    Discount is not applicable on the purchase of alcohol, bottled/canned drinks or confectionery!  However, you can still use your diners points to purchase bottled/canned drinks and confectionery.

  • What if I have a comment to make about the catering plan?
    Any comments about the dining plan should be made to the reception in Preseli.  This service is provided as part of your accommodation.
