We hope you find the information contained on our pages helpful.
Most student accommodation is in the Uplands, Brynmill and Sketty area near to the main University campus and is almost always furnished.
Rents usually do not include gas and electricity costs but usually do include water rates.
Accommodation details are advertised at peak times i.e. January to March. The first list is 'live' generally around the first week of February, however should you find you have any unexpected vacancies arise during the registration year, these rooms can be re-advertised at no additional cost.
Please see Advertising your property
To advertise the property then we must have a copy of a valid Landlord's gas safety certificate. Landlords registered with the University are also expected to comply with the "Swansea Joint Code of Standards", a copy of which may be obtained from the Environment and Health Department at the Council, and are encouraged to apply for Accreditation.
Most properties let to students will need to be registered with the Council as Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs). The University actively supports the Council's Landlord Accreditation Scheme. Landlords who belong to the scheme may be able to charge higher rents, and normally find their properties let more quickly.
