Repair Reporting

Reporting a repair could not be easier, just click on the link below and email the information

If you are living in University Accommodation and have a problem or need to report a repair you can email the repair to the appropriate office.  Please always include your student number, nature and location of fault (and if fault has occurred before) and address when reporting a problem.

Please do not assume that another member of the household has reported a repair, if you are in any doubt or want to know the status of the repair, please contact us.


Emergencies Outside Office hours       

Please report ONLY essential maintenance problems to the Porter in Fulton House who will pass them onto the Duty Officer if necessary.  Unnecessary call outs are costly and in some cases if deemed unnecessary the charge may be passed back to you.

Other repairs will not be dealt with until the next working day, and you MUST report the repair by email or to the appropriate Office on the next working day.


NB: Immediate action will only be taken on those urgent repairs that are likely to cause considerable damage to the property, if not attended to immediately.


What is an Emergency?  

Below are listed the time scales within which we would hope your repair would be completed:

Within 48 Hours

Emergency Repairs  E.G. Broken Window 
Roof Leaks                                                
No Heating                                             

Within 3 Working Days

Urgent Repairs  E.G. Blocked Drain         

Within 10 Working Days

Non-Urgent Repairs E.G.  Furniture Repairs
Broken Extractor Fan                               

Within 4 Weeks

Routine Maintenance  E.G. Broken Front Gate    

 


If your repair is not completed within this time scale please let the Residential Services know. This will enable us to chase up the repair with the relevant contractor.
