Reservation Deposit

In addition to the rents below a £100 Reservation Deposit is payable at the time of signing your contract this is a non refundable deposit, however if you move into the accommodation the deposit will then be deducted from your first terms rent. To view a sample contract please click here:

Payment Dates:

On signing the contract you agree to pay accommodation fees in 1 of 2 ways:

• In full in advance for the entire year
• 3 Termly Payments by Direct Debit only.  Fees will then be collected from the nominated bank account on the following dates:

Term 1 - Due 22nd October 2009 (**less the deposit)

Term 2 - Due 21st January 2010

Term 3 - Due 29th April 2010

This will include total fees for the term and any additional charges allocated to your account.  You will be able to review the entire amount through your student Intranet Account 3 - 5 Days prior to the charges being deducted.  If you are experiencing any financial difficulties please contact Residential Services Finance Staff at your earliest convenience and they will assist you in offering advice and or deferred payments.

Personal Insurance Cover

All residents are be covered by a personal belongings insurance policy. This will cover your property against loss, damage and theft whilst living in University Residences. For further details please click here.

Guide:

• Room Sizes: Small, Medium & Large rooms prices are reflected in the rents.
• Standard: Indicates shared bathroom facilities.
• Bathroom Ratio: 1:2 means that the bathroom facilities will be shared between 2 people.
• En-suite: Indicates bathroom within the study room.
• Part Catered: A Value of £24.50 is added to your catering card for you to spend on meal provisions.
• Self Catered: Kitchen area with enough facilities to cook for yourself.
• Fuel: This is for heating, cooking, lighting and general utilities.
• Contract Length: This is the minimum time period that a contract may be signed.
• 36 Week Contracts: You are required to completely vacate your room during the Easter Period.
• 40 Week Contracts: Cover the academic sessions and holidays.
• 47 Week Contracts: Available for Medics / Nurses
• 51 Week Contracts: For the Postgraduate Academic Year
• Annual Rent: This is the total cost for the year and applies to the minimum contract length shown.
