Framework Academic Regulations for Joint Doctoral Degrees

The framework academic regulations define the rules and regulations for signing collaboration contracts for joint doctoral degrees between Swansea University and one or more other institutions of higher education which are empowered to award doctoral level awards.

A joint doctorate is defined as: the joint supervision, examination and assessment and, in case the doctoral candidate passes, the awarding of a single, or double joint doctorate by two or more institutions of higher education (or other relevant approved partners). These institutions of higher education are referred to as “partner institutions”.
