2. The Role of The Student Representative

The role of the students who represent Colleges or the Students’ Unionon the University-level committees is seen as a crucial link between the University and students.  Each representative should be aware of any generic issues concerning postgraduate students within their College, and be pro-active in bringing appropriate issues to the Postgraduate Research Student Engagement forum. They can also take matters up with  Academic Services if that is felt to be more appropriate.  Representatives feed back information provided to the Forum to their home College, usually through the Student-Staff Committee or equivalent.
